Observatory Park

You will find Observatory Park in Denver South of I-25, North of Yale and between University Blvd and Colorado Blvd.    Observatory Park was platted in 1886 and was popular with small houses on large lots.   Today you can still find some smaller homes, but many have been scraped and new larger homes have been replaced.    

Observatory Park is actually at Evans and South Fillmore.    In the center of this park you will find Chamberlain Observatory which is still functional.    Chamberlain Observatory was built by Denver architect Robert Roeschlaub.

Observatory Park is a popular neighborhood being close to Denver University.   DU enrolls almost 11,000 students in its undergraduate, graduate and professional programs.     This neighborhood has a few students, yet keep the neighborhood upstanding and classy.

This neighborhood is nearby Washington Park, Bonnie Brae, Belcaro, Hilltop and Cherry Creek.     Cherry Creek shopping center is a short 10 minute drive, and living in Observatory Park, you have easy access to the light rail.
