Sometimes all you need a bit of space, get a bit out of town and have some room to roam! Whether you want an acre or 35+ acres, there is something for everyone. Having some outdoor space with some privacy is really nice!
Are you thinking of mountain views or water views? Are you OK with dirt roads, or would you want paved roads to the property? How far out of Denver would you want to be, or how much time would it take to drive to the grocery store? There is something for everyone depending on one's budget!
Other things you may want to think about is you probably will be on well and septic. Although it is nice not to have a water bill, there is maintenance to be done to maintain these items for optimum functionality. When you buy acreage, it is good if the Seller has a survey, or at least an ILC (improvement lot certificate) to show the boundaries. It is always good to at least get a boundary survey so stakes can be put in for the lot lines.
Many "checking out" country or rural properties are not buying TODAY, but looking "down the road". If you sign up, you will get listings that will match your criteria. I won't bug you, but check in once in a while. Feel free to look anytime you want!
