Aurora -

Centennial - 

East Side Residents

It is anticipated free mulch will be available for private use, on a first come first serve basis, at Lookout Park starting Tuesday, December 28 and every other day after that, excluding holidays, weekends and snow events.

West Side Residents

  • Willow Spring Service Center, 7100 S. Holly St, in the designated enclosure by the front gate.

Residents may obtain free mulch, on a first come first serve basis, from the Willow Springs Service Center, beginning Tuesday, December 28. The mulch will be available weekdays, 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Residents are responsible for loading and are encouraged to bring bags or trash cans and a shovel or pitchfork.

Cherry Hills Village - 

Curbside collection: Trees placed curbside are considered yard-waste and will be picked up and recycled as part of your weekly yard-waste collection. Trees that are decorated or wrapped in plastic bags or tarps will not be collected.

Denver - 

Put out your real Christmas tree on your designated trash day 1/3-1/14/22 and it will be picked up.  (during this time, there will be NO EXTRA pickups)   BE SURE to remove decorations, nails, stands and lights.   FREE mulch will be available to DENVER RESIDENTS ONLY at the mulch giveaway & compost sale in May.

Douglas County -

Greenwood Village - 

The Village offers holiday tree recycling pickup to residents of single-family homes beginning in late December and continuing through January. Residents may place their trees curbside on their regularly scheduled trash day and Village crews will collect them to use as mulch. Please make sure the trees are separate from your household trash and all decorations have been removed. Beginning in December, residents may also drop their trees off in the north parking lot of Village Greens Park located at Dayton Street and Union Avenue (across the street from Cherry Creek High School). Dropoff continues through January. Look for the specific dates of this program to be posted in December and for more information, contact Parks Maintenance at 303-486-5750. 

Highlands Ranch -

Real Christmas trees get dry the longer you keep them in your home.   Get them recycled, and don't be a statistic with a house fire!
