Commerce City

Back in 1952 there were 300 people who congregated at McCoy's Catepillar and Herbert Hast Jr. proclaimed his findings of Commerce City.   It was then that Commerce City incorporated and in 1970 began their council-manager form of city government.

 

Commerce City is Colorado's 4th fastest growing community.   Between 2000 and 2006 the population nearly doubled from 22,000 to 40,000 and in the 2010 census showed a population of 45,913.   Commerce City is located in Adams County.   It is only 16 minutes to Denver and 7 miles away.
